I love patina and I love the green roofs just like you. I had no idea they were copper either. In Hermann Missouri in my latest post there were copper domes on the courthouse, which stood out wherever you could see them in the city. I am wondering why those did not turn green now. Regardless I absolutely love the ones you shared in your post.
Good morning Bree, the greening of the rooves does look lovely, but sometimes it is deemed necessary by the powers to be that perhaps they should be cleaned, which, when done, does look lovely. My feelings are that I like them both, which would I choose if I had to, hmmm… I think I would stick with the green, it is a bit like having silverware, and the continual cleaning of it unless wrapped in tissue paper, one reason why, except for our cutlery set (which we rarely use) is in a box in the roof.
I am always enchanted by the craftsmanships of silverware with delicate designs and a sense of nostalgia. I was gifted a silver teapot. It is more of a piece of collection. I rarely use it.
I love the patina on these roofs! I had no idea about the horse wee.......x
