Watercolor's natural flow creates unpredictable beauty. When I apply paint to a wet surface and let it spread, the colors blend in ways I can’t control, resulting in a unique, imperfect beauty that wouldn't be possible with tight control.
I want to bring this "natural flow" approach to life:
Unknowns: Life changes, like the flow of color, can be unpredictable, but they often lead to something meaningful if we embrace them. What I thought was a detour turned out to be a derailment. After struggling to return to the "old normal", I switched to playing with colors and words last year. It’s been a sea change, but I have no regrets. It’s been rewarding, connecting me with like-minded people and teaching me to appreciate the small wonders of everyday life. I look forward to making progress in sketching and writing.
Interactions: Just as pigments interact to create new colors, our lives are intertwined. We interact with those around us, and our emotions and energy ripple out, affecting them in ways we might not expect. Staying positive isn’t just for our own well-being; it has a direct impact on the people within our orbit.
Hello Bree, your thoughts on flow ring true to me. Letting our being show and sensing other's can give new life to any moment.
Your tree is very nice! Good for me to look on during our dark rainy weather. Love that you are sharing your thoughts and your art!
This is lovely. Thank you for sharing. I’ve had a similar derailment that lead to art making.
